Dance Classes for Northwest Denver Families
JC Dance & Company is a dance studio in Wheat Ridge, a straight shot west of northwest Denver. Families from the Highlands, Berkeley, Sunnyside, and the Sloan's Lake side come to us to skip the downtown drive and the parking hunt. The studio is near 44th and Wadsworth, ten to fifteen minutes from most of northwest Denver, with a lot right out front.
Heading west, away from the traffic
The trick from northwest Denver is that you drive west, away from downtown, not into it. From Tennyson Street and Berkeley, 44th Avenue runs west almost the whole way. From Highlands Square or Sunnyside, 38th Avenue or I-70 west gets you here in around fifteen minutes. West Highland, Regis, and Chaffee Park families funnel onto 44th or 38th the same way, and Sloan's Lake families take Sheridan north and cut west. Crown Hill Park sits near the studio, so you know you are close when you reach it.
A full west-side studio
For a northwest Denver family, we are a complete option on the near west side without the downtown drive: preschool and youth classes, ballet, hip hop, and jazz, tap, and contemporary, teen poms prep, adult evening classes, and camps and birthday parties through the year, all with parking out front. For a lot of Highlands and Berkeley families, that beats hunting for a studio closer in.
The easiest times to come from the east
Since the drive west is quickest outside of rush hour, northwest Denver families often pick the Saturday morning block, which runs 9:00 to 11:30, or the later weeknight classes once traffic thins. Teens headed for a school dance team come out for the Wednesday poms prep at 6:00, and adults catch the 7:00 classes on the way home from the west side. The schedule shows every option.
Questions from the northwest Denver side
How far is it from the Highlands or Berkeley?
About ten to fifteen minutes. From Tennyson Street, 44th Avenue runs west almost door to door, with parking when you arrive.
Is parking easier than closer to downtown?
For most families, yes. There is a lot right at the studio, which is not always the case for studios closer in.
When is the drive west quickest?
Outside of rush hour. Saturday mornings and the later weeknight classes are the smoothest trips from the east.
