Dance Classes for Golden Families
JC Dance & Company is a dance studio in Wheat Ridge, a short drive east of Golden. We are near 44th and Wadsworth, about twelve to fifteen minutes from Golden, so a lot of west-side families make the trip down the hill each week. We are not a Golden studio. We are the Wheat Ridge studio that Golden families are glad is only a quarter hour away.
The route in from Golden
There are a few good ways to come. From downtown Golden and the Colorado School of Mines area, US-6 east to Wadsworth is direct, and I-70 east to the Ward Road or Kipling exits is about the same. If you would rather stay off the highway, 32nd Avenue runs east out of Golden and carries you through Applewood almost to the studio. From South Golden Road and the neighborhoods below Table Mountain, either US-6 or 32nd works. Give it twelve to fifteen minutes, and there is parking waiting at the door.
What Golden dancers can take
We teach every age from two to adult, so whatever your dancer is into, there is a class down the hill: preschool and toddler classes for the littlest ones, ballet, hip hop, and jazz, tap, and contemporary through the school years, poms prep for teens headed to a dance team, and adult classes in the evening. Camps and birthday parties cover the breaks. For a Golden family, it is a full studio a quick drive from home.
Why the Saturday block fits a Golden drive
A twelve to fifteen minute trip is easy to justify once a week, and the Saturday morning block makes the most of it. In one visit you can catch Tutu Tots at 9:00, Mini Stars Tap & Ballet at 9:45, and Youth Hip Hop & Tumble at 10:30. Teens can come out for the Wednesday poms prep at 6:00, and adults from Golden tend to like the 7:00 evening classes on the way home. The schedule shows what runs when.
