Dance Classes for Edgewater Families
JC Dance & Company is a dance studio in Wheat Ridge, and for Edgewater it is about as close as a studio gets. We are near 44th and Wadsworth, a short hop northwest of Edgewater and Sloan's Lake, usually well under ten minutes door to door. We are not in Edgewater, but a lot of Edgewater families treat us like their neighborhood studio.
How close Edgewater really is
From Edgewater and the Sloan's Lake side, head north on Sheridan Boulevard and west on 44th Avenue and you are here in five to ten minutes. Near the Edgewater Public Market, families often cut over on 20th or 26th to Harlan Street and come up that way. Lakeside and the blocks right on Sloan's Lake are even closer, sometimes only five minutes, with Mountain View sitting right between you and the studio. There is no highway involved, just city streets you already drive.
What we teach
Because we cover ages two through adult, an Edgewater family can pop in for a weekday preschool class and come back another night for an adult class without either one eating the whole evening. Ballet, hip hop, and jazz, tap, and contemporary cover the school-age dancers, poms prep is there for teens, and camps and parties fill out the year.
Class times that suit a five-minute drive
Being this close changes what is realistic. Edgewater families can take the weekday morning preschool classes, like Tiny Tots on Tuesday at 9:00, or the 4:00 classes right after school, without planning the whole day around the trip. Older kids can do a weeknight youth class and still be home early. And because the drive barely registers, a family here can fit two classes into a week and hardly notice the driving.
